My name is gerard (hi, gerard...)

I first heard of Solresol and Sidosi when I read Joshua Foer's article "Utopia for Beginners" in the New Yorker and I knew I had to learn more.

My work as a painter is entwined with my work as a writer, and I have been investigating forms of writing for some time. You can see this work on my website, http://www.gerardbrown.net.

After having explored the dictionary and really, really awesome translator for a few months, I finally decided to join the community because I have been invited to plan an exhibit (with an artist/musician) in which I'll be showing some work that employs Sidosi and I am concerned about getting it right. I am hopeful that I can get a little help and advice from members of the community on questions of grammar and style from you all.

So I look forward to talking to anyone who's interested in giving me a hand. If there is interest, I will be happy to post images (and sound files) of our progress as the show comes together...
