A compilation of information about Solresol, the universal musical language

SolReSol:The Project - Free comprehensive SolReSol software

Projects using Solresol. Issues in translation may be discussed, but issues inherent to the language should be taken to one of the Linguistic Discussion forums.
SolReSol: The Project is the first free standalone SolReSol software. SolReSol is a universal language of music, sounds and colors.
Version 0.95 - a truly public release that contain almosts everything you would like to see – Translation Mode to translate from English into SolReSol, Composition Mode – conversion of music into a natural language (including live MIDI support), Chaos Mode where you let music and words flow to create a hypnotising and surprisingly meaningful experience and a bonus – Solfège Mode to train your musical ear. Dear SolReSol enthusiasts, I regret to inform you that this IndieGoGo campaign did not reach its goal.

Let me thank everybody who showed their interest in the project - every comment, message or donation pledge was very inspiring.

Since it was an all-or-nothing funding campaign, no funds were raised.

Even though this crowdfunding campaign didn't reach its goal, SolReSol: The Project is still released, you can download the newest version for free:

This 0.5 version is just a preview, the initial public release coming soon in 2014.

What was the goal? In a couple months, I think I'll have a lot of money to spare (barring unforeseen issues).

The goal was quite modest - $950, but this was my first crowdfunding campaign, I didn't advertise/update it enough.

Another problem is that there are few SolReSol enthusiasts nowadays, and when I tell the general public about it, they say "Constructed languages? But we already have too many natural languages!"
Truly, ignorance is a bliss.

Could you post some screenshots? I'm really curious about it, and I want to see it, but I can't get it to run. I'm using linux, and I can't get it to work in wine or my virtual machine. It sounds really amazing and I would love to know more.

Edit: I just found the trailer and image gallery on the indiegogo page. It looks really nice, I love the colorful theme! ^-^

SiMi, Madeline!
Thank you for your interest in the project. This is an old trailer, I'm currently working on a new version - 0.9, which is due to be released somewhere in 2014, it will truly be a public release with more modes, improved vocabulary, etc. I am also planning to release it for Linux and maybe, if people are interested enough, Android as well.
Working hard on a new SolReSol update - v.0.9 - a truly public release that will contain almost everything you would like to see - Translation Mode to translate from English into SolReSol, Composition Mode - conversion of music into a natural language, Chaos Mode where you let music and words flow to create a hypnotising and surprisingly meaningful experience and a bonus - Solfège Mode to train your musical ear. Watch the preview of the upcoming SolReSol: The Project Chaos Mode in which randomly generated sounds and colors endlessly form SolReSol words and phrases!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgESqHhW6aY

In this mode you can hear, see and read randomly generated SolReSol speech for unlimited time. You can slow the time down and dim the lights to focus on the SolReSol words pronunciation or speed them up to have an effect of subliminal perception - it is amazing how meaningful the formed phrases can sometimes be.
Much more SolReSol randomness - 14 minutes of random SolReSol for your eyes and ears:
